Colloidal Minerals for Children. What Works Best?

QUESTION:

Hi Troy! Just read your article about ADD and your experience with using colloidal minerals.

The link in your article about colloidal minerals pulled up Now Foods as one of the first options, and I was curious to know what dose you would give to a younger child. The supplement facts suggest 2 Tbsp/day, but caution that it's for adults only. Which brand did you use for your daughter, and at what dose?

ANSWER:

Hello, and thanks for your question regarding colloidal minerals for children.

Firstly, I would not recommend buying Now Foods colloidal minerals. Unfortunately, their product has changed and now only contains 15 minerals instead of the required 60 (hence the cheap price). Majestic Earth and T.J. Clark colloidal minerals are the two best on the market at the moment. The one we gave our daughter came from Australia and was similar to these. She was eight years old at the time and we gave her half the recommended adult dose (one tablespoon) daily and this worked very well. Half the adult dosage is actually what most supplement companies recommend for children as well.

Hope this helps.

All the best to you,

Regards

Troy.
