Mucocele OR Cancer? Natural Treatment Solutions...

QUESTION:

My husband has a "lump" on the inside of his lower lip. He found it about 10 days ago - we have a doctors appointment on July 16th. He has chewed tobacco for 25 years - so this adds to my concern. The lump is not discolored, it does not protrude out far and is about the size of a pencil eraser - or a little bigger. I don't think it hurts - although he did not say one way or the other.

I do not have a picture at this time - he just told me about it last night.
Thanks.

ANSWER:

Hi Debbie and thanks for your question. The fact that your husband chews tobacco is obviously alarming, however, it doesn't necessarily mean the worst. A biopsy will confirm the problem (or a good diagnosis) and having to wait over two weeks for an appointment is certainly not the best scenario. But in the meantime, I would recommend (apart from your husband stopping with the tobacco chewing if possible) is he washes his mouth out 3 times a day with some organic apple cider vinegar. Make sure he swashes it around for a few minutes before spitting it out. Also, organic coconut oil is great for mouth infections (any infections for that matter) so do the same with this.

In addition, there is no harm consuming 2-3 tablespoons of ACV and 2-3 tablespoons of coconut oil internally everyday as well for extra benefit! If it's a mucocele, it may even be gone by the time he's doctors appointment comes around.

Good luck with the appointment Debbie.

All the best,

Regards
