Is there a way to reduce or eliminate the nodules of ledderhose?
Does a more alkaline diet, significantly less meat have any affect?
Would soaking feet in apple cider vinegar be helpful?

Massage therapy using essential oils is one of the standard alternative therapies for reducing the nodules associated with ledderhose disease. According to Dr Jonathan Wright, an alkaline diet is very important for anyone with ledderhose disease, so yes, try and increase your intake of alkaline foods, especially wheat grass, which is one of the best for raising your body's pH level.
Apple cider vinegar is also excellent for boosting your pH and alkalizing the body so definitely take this as well (a tablespoon mixed in a glass of water and taken 3 times daily). Soaking your feet in a 50/50 solution of ACV would also help tremendously. Just make sure the ACV you buy is organic and still contains the "mother" apple (like these ones). In addition, don't forget about using the potassium iodide.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Adverse effect from iodine
by: Marcel Rietjens (NL)

I have tried the SSKI solution but I noticed that the contracture got worse. I could feel it contracting after I rubbed in the solution.
So I had to go for surgery. Later I tried it again on my other hand but this time using an iodine (I2) solution in about 50/50 water/DMSO mixture. Same effect: I can feel it contacting after about an hour.
Same with Ledderhose: that also negatively responds to iodide and iodine.
(even if I don't rub in onto my foot).
Do you have any explanation? Any suggestions?

Hi Marcel. How long did you use the SSKI for? Dr Jonathan Wright says it can take several months for the full effects to be felt. Also remember that with many remedies the "things can get worse before they get better" rule applies in most cases. So basically, you have to give the treatment plenty of time to work. Be sure to also get yourself tested for glucose intolerance as per Dr Wrights recommendation. Here's what he says in his article...

"Dupuytren’s contracture" and "Peyronie’s disease" are two "fibrotic" conditions that can be helped considerably by SSKI. In Dupuytren’s contracture, thickening (fibrosis) occurs along one of the tendons in the palm in the hand, pulling the related finger down towards the palm. As the problem progresses, the finger often can’t be straightened any more.
In Peyronie’s disease, a very similar thickening occurs along the shaft of the penis, making erections increasing "curved" and painful. In both cases, rubbing SSKI into the thickened tissue at least twice daily softens and lessens the fibrotic area over a period of several months, allowing for more normal function.
For these conditions, it’s additionally helpful to take para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) 2 grams, three times daily, and to rub a mixture of Vitamin E and DMSO into the thickened areas, also. However, if "caught early", SSKI alone will often "do the job". (It’s also advisable to have glucose-insulin tolerance test done, as there’s an unusually high incidence of "insulin resistance" in people with Dupuytren’s contracture or Peyronie’s disease.

In addition to this, castor oil and Sonic toothbrush massage are also extremely effective for treating Peyronie's disease... A Natural Remedy for Peyronie's Disease That Works! so these may also be effective for Dupuytren's Contracture and Ledderhose Disease. Maybe worth considering?

Hope this helps.

All the best to you Marcel!
