December 19, 2015

The Best (And No Cost) Anti-Aging, Weight Loss and Joint Health Remedy You’ll Ever Come Across!

G'day folks, and a warm welcome to our December edition of Life Saving Health Solutions. Thank you once again for being a part of our health circle and I really hope you enjoy today’s newsletter and the information I'm going to be sharing with you.

Since the beginning of time, it seems human beings have been on this unstoppable quest to find the “fountain of youth”. Everybody wants it right? (Even the ancient Egyptians kept searching for it). If we could find a way to live longer, reverse the aging clock, have unlimited energy, keep our joints and mind healthy, along with being able to maintaining our ideal body weight, all by simply taking a magic pill or elixir then life would be perfect!

Well, I’m here to tell you that magic pill or elixir doesn’t exist (and probably never will), but there’s actually something very close. And best of all, its dirt cheap to make yourself and the only investment you really need to make is a little of your time.

Bone Broth (Stock) Is the Fountain of Youth We’ve Been Searching For…

Yes, bone broth is nothing new. Chances are your grandmother or great grandmother regularly made her own bone broth, but now with our busy lifestyles, it seems it’s become a dying art. And this is a shame really because making your own stock is not that hard to do and the health and therapeutic benefits are nothing short of amazing!

But thankfully, all is not lost on this one. Due to the Paleo diet craze, homemade bone broth is now having a big comeback. The great thing about bone stock is you can use it in soups, sauces, stews, curries, and just about any dish that requires cooking a piece of meat or vegetable in a liquid. It’s also great for sautéing or roasting vegetables. It actually tastes so good that you can even just have it straight from the bowl if you want to!

What Exactly is Bone Broth?

Broth (or technically, stock) is a powerful vitamin, mineral and co-factor rich concoction that’s made by boiling up the bones of animals, then adding some vegetables, herbs and spices. In fact, you’ll usually find a large stock pot of broth simmering in the kitchen of virtually every 5-star restaurant. It’s not only terrific for its great culinary uses and amazing flavor, it’s also a potent health tonic that can be easily added to your diet in lots of different ways (even the kids will love it!). Broth is usually made from the bones of beef, bison, lamb, poultry, or fish, and even game meat bones (these are actually the most nutrient packed). Vegetables, herbs and spices are also added to the brew towards the end of the simmering process for extra flavor and nutritional benefit.

What Does Bone Broth Do For You Health Wise?

When you drink bone broth, you really do feel so much better and have so much more energy. And you can lose weight without even trying!

The reason?

Bone broth contains some powerful fat-burning and cell-energizing nutrients. Here’s some of the main ones…

Collagen & Gelatin:

If you want to lose weight, reduce cellulite, have younger looking skin, and have healthy hair and nails, then you absolutely must have collagen and gelatin (hence why these are added to most hair and nail formulas, cellulite reduction creams, and skin care and anti-aging creams). Collagen is an integral part of bones and contains a healthy supply of important amino acids. When you cook or simmer bone broth for a long period of time, the collagen in the bones turns into gelatin.

And gelatin is a virtual “cure all” magical compound!

Here’s some of the potent health benefits of this stunning substance…

TONES AND STRENGTHENS THE SKIN: There’s a reason why women have used gelatin for centuries to help keep their skin smooth and supple. The nutrients in gelatin provide the body with the key building blocks of collagen. And collagen is crucial for erasing wrinkles and reversing sagging skin and stretch marks. So think of collagen as a natural Botox!

GELATIN FIGHTS INFLAMMATION: Studies have shown that even a basic home-made chicken soup can help suppress inflammation within the body by stopping pro-inflammatory immune cells known as “neutrophils” from moving into the inflamed area. The amino acid glycine (from gelatin) is even more effective at reducing both local and systemic (whole body) inflammation. In fact, its anti-inflammatory effects are very powerful indeed.

GELATIN HEALS YOUR GUT: Gelatin stabilizes your gut mucosa (the gut mucosa is the largest and most lively immunological environment of the body and is often the first point of pathogen exposure (viruses, bacteria, etc). Many microbes actually use it as their “foot in the door” to get into and invade the rest of the body). Research has also found that the glycine in gelatin heals and protects the gut due to its powerful anti-inflammatory, immune regulatory, and cell-protective properties.

We have about 25 feet of intestines and about 1,500 different species of bacteria and other flora living in them (this adds up to trillions of gut microbes). The good bacteria make enzymes that help our bodies digest food and nutrients, along with producing valuable hormones and removing toxins from the body.

Unfortunately, the modern day diet isn’t kind to our gut flora at all. A diet high in refined sugars, carbs, and artificial chemicals, but low in crucial nutrients, kills off massive amounts of beneficial bacteria quite quickly. Worst of all, they allow the bad bacteria to take a hold a wreak havoc!

Infections, antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, stress, alcohol, and many prescription medications can also unbalance gut flora and allow the bad bacteria to gain control and thrive.

This is extremely dangerous because once the bad guy’s take over, they cause inflammation that eventually damages the gut wall. The result is intestinal permeability or “leaky gut.” With this condition the gut barrier is weakened, which then allows toxins and “digestive debris” that should stay trapped inside the gut to escape into the bloodstream, poisoning the blood.

Gelatin helps to restore the health of the intestines and gut lining, along with optimizing immune function (70% of the body’s immune system is actually located in the gut). If you suffer from acne, arthritis, headaches, allergies, ADHD, dizziness, or fibromyalgia, expect to see these problems clear up once you start adding bone broth to your diet.

NOTE: Sometimes, too much of a good thing can actually be detrimental. But when it comes to your beneficial bacteria, this is definitely not the case. You can NEVER have too many good bacteria residing in your digestive system. Never! In fact, the more you have the better! This is why we always recommend you take a good quality probiotic supplement every day. You can’t always be sure that you’re getting enough beneficial flora from your diet (you MUST build and replenish the supply every single day), which is why a probiotic supplement is needed. This is your guarantee, or insurance, really, that you’re definitely getting that much needed supply. Here’s some of the best probiotic supplements listed on the market at the moment… Top Rating Probiotic Supplements According to Amazon

Vitamins, Minerals, Good Fats & Alkylglycerols:

The calcium, magnesium, phosphorous and boron that’s present in bone broth is highly bioavailable (easily absorbable) and because you must have these four minerals to build healthy bones, this makes bone broth the ultimate and cheapest form of arthritis and osteoporosis cure you’ll come across.

If you decide to make a fish broth (using fish bones) you get the added benefit of extra high strength absorbable iodine. Iodine regulates your thyroid hormones, while the calcium helps to keep your endocrine hormones in balance. Balanced hormones are essential for efficient metabolism production (fat burning) and weight loss.

The phosphorus contained in bone broth plays a crucial role in energizing the body’s cells, while the magnesium builds strong healthy bones, balances hormones, enhances digestion and repairs and rejuvenates the skin.

Boron is essential for healthy teeth, bone and joint function, along with regulating the absorption and metabolism of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus through its influence on the parathyroid glands. Basically, boron is for the parathyroids what iodine is for the thyroid.

And let’s not forget about the bone marrow that’s contained in bone broths. This incredible jellylike, rubbery substance at the core of the bone is also a nutritional treasure trove! It’s an exceptional source of healthy dietary fats and contains high amounts of absorbable iron and vitamin A. Bone marrow also contains powerful alkylglycerol compounds, which help protect us from cancer and other degenerative diseases by boosting immune function.

Joint-Protecting Nutrients in Bone Broth:

In addition to being a rich source of building blocks for collagen production, the cartilage in bone broth is also jam packed with glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. These are the very same and popular nutrients many health practioners prescribe to their patients to keep their joints healthy and reverse the effects of arthritis and osteoporosis.

Bone broth also contains hyaluronic acid, which is a potent nutrient that lubricates the joints and muscles. In fact, a 2015 study found oral hyaluronic acid produced “statistically significant improvements in pain and function” in obese people suffering with knee osteoarthritis. Hyaluronic acid also hydrates the skin and erases fine wrinkles (it’s currently the latest ingredient being heavily advertized in many skin care creams). So along with having happier joints, bone broth will also give you smoother, healthier skin!

Glycine & Other Important Amino Acids:

Bone broth is rich in amino acids which are classed as “conditional” amino acids rather than “essential”. Under ideal health conditions, the body can usually make enough of these amino acids without having to obtain them from food. However, in today’s highly toxic, highly stressed out (stress depletes the body of nutrients faster than anything else) and highly nutrient deficient world, it’s a very high probability that you’re not getting enough of these crucial amino acids. Fortunately, you can obtain a healthy supply of the four key conditional amino acids, glycine, proline, arginine and glutamine, from bone broth.

Here’s why you need these…

Glycine plays a powerful role in fighting inflammation and is also one of the building blocks of collagen.

Proline helps the body synthesize proteins, metabolize food correctly, heal wounds, and protect against oxidative stress.

Arginine has potent wound-healing properties, increases blood flow and stimulates the release of growth hormone. New research shows it may also protect against Alzheimer’s disease.

How to Easily Make Your Own Bone Broth…

As you can see, bone broth is a very powerful healing tonic, body revitalizer, and metabolism booster. When you add up all of bone broth’s nutritional benefits, it’s easy to see why it’s making such a strong comeback.

Making your own bone broth is dead easy. Anyone can do it. Once everything’s in the pot, you just basically set it and forget it! Here’s an excellent article that tells you everything you need to know on making your own bone broth, along with some great recipes you can use to add your bone broth to. It’s really worth taking the time to have a read of… Making Fresh Bone Stock (Broth) - PaleoLeap.com

Now, you can actually buy organic, pre-made bone broth. If you find that you’re just too busy or can’t be bothered (it’s okay to be honest and admit if you can’t be bothered) then purchasing these is still a good alternative. However, we suggest you do this as a last resort. Making your own is still the best (and cheapest) option by far.

This Just In…

“Taking Antidepressants While Pregnant Increases Risk of Autism by up to 87 Percent”…

A recent article in Newsweek reported on a new study that’s just revealed women taking selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) during pregnancy can increase their child’s risk for developing autism substantially.

Study organizers found that women who took SSRIs during pregnancy increased their child’s risk of developing autism by as much as 87 percent. The study mainly looked at the dangers associated with taking SSRI medications during the second and third trimester of pregnancy, where the impact is much higher than during the first trimester.

It was once thought that pregnancy hormones actually protected women from depression, but it now seems this is not the case. In fact, pregnancy in general can trigger a wide range of emotions that can actually make it difficult to cope with depression.

The findings from this study conducted at the University of Montreal does send a clear warning to all health professionals and women suffering from depression. Although the exact link for the association between antidepressant drugs and autism risk has still not be confirmed yet, there is clearly a risk and it shouldn’t be ignored.

Depression is definitely on the rise, not just for pregnant women, but for the whole population in general. In fact, it’s projected that depression will be the second leading cause of death by 2021.

Of course, it’s not easy for someone who’s taking an anti-depressant drug to stop if they’ve been taking it for a while and are clinically depressed. It’s something that does need special attention (your body becomes accustomed to the medication so quitting cold turkey is never a good idea). Going off medication can cause a sharp drop in mood levels and is really not something that can or should be done without some form of medical/health supervision.

This study does highlight once again the unavoidable fact. Every pharmaceutical drug or medication has side effects (creates an unwanted or opposite reaction within the body). There is no getting around this truth, no matter what the medical profession or pharmaceutical industry try’s to tell us.

For anyone who does suffer from depression, firstly, seek help and don’t try and go it alone. We also have a whole section on natural way’s to treat and beat depression. Here’s the link… Home Remedies for Depression That Give Powerful Results.

And This…

“Chemotherapy Causes Breast Cancer Tumors to Grow Rather Than Shrink”…

Scientists from the Cancer Research Institute in Russia have found that chemotherapy can actually stimulate the growth of a tumor, rather than diminish it as previously thought. The study, published in the Siberian Journal of Oncology, really does throw an unwanted spanner in the works for the medical profession, who still advocate chemotherapy for breast cancer patients.

Scientists studied chemotherapy patients with breast cancer and analysed biopsies of the cancer as they prepared for surgery. In 23% of the women, they actually found a new tumor formation.

Some chromosomes or partial chromosomes doubled and the tumor cells became more resistant. This phenomenon is known as “amplification” and is unfortunately one of the many negative consequences of chemotherapy. Almost all of the patients developed metastases in the five-year period of observation.

Researchers concluded that under the effects of chemotherapy, it’s possible for this cancer drug to stimulate the growth of a resistant tumor rather than actually shrink it.

Not good.

About the Writer:

After being struck down with a severe and debilitating illness at the age of 26 and told by medical doctors that nothing more could be done for him, Troy Sawyer decided to find his own cure through natural recovery methods. Following three years of extensive research into nutritional therapy, he discovered that a deficiency of certain essential nutrients was the cause of his illness. He also discovered that over 90% of diseases are caused by a lack of these essential nutrients and that science has now been able to prove that health and longevity is virtually impossible if the body doesn’t receive these nutrients on a daily basis!

The problem, however, is as a result of the radical changes in farming methods used today, the food we eat no longer supplies us with enough of these important nutrients. In Troy’s case, he had always eaten healthy foods yet still became sick. Only after he began to include certain nutritional supplements in his diet did he regain his health.

Today, at 47 years young, Troy enjoys the kind of vibrant health and sense of well-being that most people long for, and has spent the last 18 years helping others achieve the same, working as a health and wellness coach. He has also continued to further his knowledge and stay up to date on Natural Medicine and Nutritional Therapies by studying part time.
