A Few Questions About the Baking Soda Mix, Sugar & Drinking Sprite Soda...

1. I don't know why, but when I take the baking soda mix my stomach runs shortly after. This has happened several times. I simply mix one teaspoon of baking soda with two teaspoons of black strap molasses. I use a little hot water to help with the mixing and then fill it to a 3/4 cupful with cold water. Is there something I'm not doing or doing wrong? I have temporarily suspended taking the baking soda cure for prostate cancer until I hear from you.

2. I learned reading from here that pink rock salt is way better than any of the other everyday salts in our foods, even in excess quantity. I like that since I use salt in many of my foods. I just discarded all my regular salts and purchased the pink rock salt as a substitute. Since I also use a great deal of regular sugar in many foods, is there a better sugar substitute that also tastes great that I can use on a regular basis?

3. I love drinking Sprite soda, perhaps 3 to 4 hours every night before going to bed and I've been doing this for the past 3 years or so. It's become a habit, but I've been told by friends that it's no good for me. What's your opinion on this, and is there a better substitute? Is there a good drink I can enjoy every night before going to bed?

Thank you very much for your answers. Sam.

Hi Sam, and thanks for your questions. Lets go through them one by one...

Firstly, if the baking soda gives you the runs shortly after taking it (which can certainly happen and is actually quite common) then simply drop the amount to 1/2 a teaspoon instead of one full teaspoon. After a few weeks you can then increase to 3/4 of a teaspoon before finally trying one full teaspoon again. Keep in mind that even 1/2 to 3/4 of a teaspoon will still work as a cancer treatment.

Secondly, it's good to see that you've thrown away processed salts and have now gone with pink rock salt. This is a great move!

Now, in regards to sugar... this stuff is just no good for you at all, particularly if you have cancer!! The best scenario would be to cut all sugar from your diet. The problem is, sugar is highly addictive (as addictive as cocaine in fact) so getting off it can be a challenge. The best sugar substitutes are stevia, coconut sugar and date sugar. The real problem with having sugar is it interferes with the baking soda/black strap molasses treatment (you want the cancer causing microbes to feed on the sugar contained in the black strap molasses and nothing else). Use these sugar substitutes if you must but try and wean yourself from sugar completely as soon as possible. Have a read of this article by my good friend (and cancer expert) Dr Patrick Quillin for more information on the sugar/cancer connection... Cancer's Sweet Tooth.

Lastly, in regards to drinking Sprite, your friends are 100% correct. All soda drinks are extremely bad! Not only are they high in sugar (and diet drinks contain aspartame which is even worse for you), they also neutralize stomach acid, which means your body doesn't absorb the vital nutrients it needs. So all carbonated drinks definitely must be avoided completely. As far as finding a substitute? Have a look at this article for some alternatives... 9 Tasty Soda Alternatives. Try to go with the sugarless/low sugar drinks and if need be, buy some stevia drops and add 2 or 3 drops to your drink to sweeten if need be.

So I hope these tips help you out Sam.

All the best to you,

Troy (Admin)
